Apprise mentioned in global corporation's modern slavery efforts statement



In Li & Fung's modern slavery and child labour 2018 statement, Apprise has been mentioned as one of the efforts undertaken towards the end of all forms of modern slavery, including abusive recruitment practices.


The global corporation's statement indicates working with the Mekong Club and the United Nations University Institute on Computing and Society (UNU-CS) to to use mobile technology to identify forced labour risks in their supply chain, and that:

The “Apprise” app overcomes the traditional language barriers and time constraints of an audit, by surveying migrant workers on their working conditions in the migrant worker’s own language (Li & Fung, 2018, p.1)
